The warranty defined within this document only applies to Huayi Lighting (Pty) Ltd (which is stated as Huayi) branded products within Africa (refer to the product). The warranty only applies to the company that purchased the product directly from Huayi (which refers to the purchaser) Huayi warrants that each individual product is free of defects in the material used and workmanship. All former warranties are valid as stated in the sales agreement. Should a product fail to operate, Huayi will replace it with a free replacement.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Huayi’s warranty is only valid to the purchaser. If any product returned from the purchaser which falls within the policy warranty and Huayi is satisfied with the condition of the product and packaging, the product will be reimbursed back to the purchaser for the price of the specific product in question.
Should a product need to be replaced and cannot be due to the product not being discontinued or unavailable, Huayi will either reimburse the purchaser or replace it with a similar alternative (the alternative product may have slight variations to the original product specification)
Under no circumstances can an agent/distributor alter a product or extend the warranty.
All products will only fall within the limited warranty only if the product has been installed accordingly with a certified electrician under the correct environmental conditions. Should the product still be faulty under all the correct circumstances, this should be reported to Huayi in writing ad soon as possible.
Huayi will provide the technical support required to solve the problem.
The warranty will be voided should the product be repaired or altered with without Huayi’s consent in writing.
As soon as the non-complaint or faulty product has been replaced it is property of Huayi.
Should a product be faulty or defected access to the product should be made available for a Huayi representative to inspect.
Guarantee claims must be reported to Huayi within 30 days of the detection of the defective product. The following information may be needed for better clarification of the reason behind the defective product;
Detailed description of the failing product (other components where applicable that have been used in conjunction with the product)
Date of installation and invoice date.
Application, switching cycles.
- Huayi will pay for all costs involved should the product be found faulty ie. freighting costs, testing etc. However, should it be found that the product is in working order, the necessary costs involved will be at the purchaser’s expense and will be charged accordingly.
Not implied or other warranties
- The warranties that are specified in the Sales Agreement are the only warranties that are given by Huayi. These warranties are given in the same lights as all other warranties regardless of whether they have been specified or implied.
Limitations and Conditions
The warranty is limited and does not include factors ie. Installation, access to the questioned products (lifts, scaffolding, etc.) loss of revenue, damage to property or other losses not previously specified where applicable.
Non-compliance of a product will need to be verified by a Huayi Sales Representative where the purchaser will have to give the Sales Representative access to the defective product, the system and the application for the product in question.
Huayi will not be responsible for any electrical supply conditions, ie. Electrical supply spikes, over/ under- voltage etc. That are mot compliant with the specific product specifications applicable in conjunction with the standards applicable (eg. EN50160)
