Our Returns Policy
1. Overview
At HUAYI LIGHTING, customer satisfaction is our priority. If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we're here to help. This Return Policy outlines your rights and our obligations under South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and industry regulations.
2. Eligibility for Returns
- Time Frame:You have the right to return items within 7 days of receiving the goods for a full refund if they do not meet the requirements outlined in the Consumer Protection Act. After 7 days, returns are at our discretion and may be subject to a restocking fee.
- Condition:Products must be returned in their original packaging, unused, and in the same condition that you received them, with all accessories and documentation.
- Exceptions:Custom-made products, clearance items, and any items marked as "non-returnable" on the product page are not eligible for return, unless defective.
3. Defective Products
If the product is defective, damaged, or not as described, you are entitled to:
- A full refund, exchange, or repair of the product within 6 months of purchase.
- Goods found to be faulty MUST be returned to HUAYI’s Head Office for evaluation. These products will be repaired, if possible, and if goods cannot be repaired,a replacement will be sent to the distributor. Replacements will not be sent to the distributor until we have received the faulty product for evaluation. Tampered, modified or products without the original label will not be warranted.
- We will cover the cost of return shipping for defective products.
4. Damaged In Transit
- This must be reported in writing to HUAYI within 48 hours from receipt of the goods.
- The onus is on the distributor to check that goods are received in good condition.
- The distributor cannot claim breakages in transit months after they have received their order.
5. Incorrectly Supplied
- In the event of an order being incorrectly captured byHUAYI, or if incorrect goods were packed by the warehouse, these goods can be returned at no cost to the distributor.
6. Cancelled Orders
- Orders already placed by distributors that needs to be cancelled must be done so IN WRITING. Verbal cancellations will not be accepted. If goods are already in transit, orders cannot be cancelled.
7. Non-Defective Returns (Orders Incorrectly Ordered/No Longer Required)
- Change of Mind:If you change your mind, returns are accepted within 7 days, provided the item is in original condition and packaging. You will be responsible for return shipping costs.
- Restocking Fee: A 10% restocking fee may apply for non-defective returns.
8. Return Process
- Initiate Return: Contact our sales team at email/phone to initiate the return process.
- Return Shipping:Once your return is approved, you will receive instructions on how to ship the item back to us.
- Refunds: Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item. Refunds will be made via the original payment method.
9. Warranty
- HUAYIproducts carry a warranty of various months from date of invoice depending on the product. against manufacturing defects. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, or unauthorized repairs.
10. Consumer Rights
This Return Policy does not affect your statutory rights under South African law, including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act.
